Welcome to My Capstone

     My name is Makayla Bruno and I am a 17 year old senior at Sport & Medical Sciences Academy in Hartford, Connecticut. I have lived in New Britain, Connecticut my entire life with my mother and twin brother. I have always taken an interest in art and self-care along with helping others better themselves ever since I could remember. When I am older I want to be on the path to gaining a career in psychology because I have always had an interest in mental health due to my moms profession and an esthetician license for my own private practice. I want to share my knowledge of self care and meditation to help people better themselves and learn coping skills for depression, anxiety, etc due to personal experience and what I have learned. If I could teach others what I wish I knew I would never get tired of it.

Mission Statement: 

I want to be able to share my knowledge and kindness with people. The way my mother raised me was to always spread positivity through kindness and help others when in need of help and other things.  I aspire to major in psychology to learn more about why people do what they do and their habits/nature. I plan on using my education to maintain my own private practice and gaining financial security along with being able to help my family financially if they're struggling. My mission is to learn from everyone words and actions and take them in to consideration.
